Many thanks to everyone who participated in the Waterford Writers’ Weekend! To workshop providers, speakers, city council staff, organizers, venues and of course to our wonderfully enthusiastic audience, the committee wishes to pass on huge appreciation to all for helping to make the 2012 festival a great success.

Winners of the Seán Dunne Young Writers Awards 2012 are Craig Gibson from Belfast his piece ‘Daisies’, Aoife Green from Donegal for her prose piece ‘Up and Over’ and Dean Hayes from Waterford City for his poem ‘You are an Actress’. 

Others awarded were Kyle Hutchison, Seán Duggan, Gavin Power and Desmond Ulamen from Scoil Lorcain, Sean's Dunne’s former school.
